Silicone dolls are different from vinyl dolls, and they should be treated differently and with special care. Silicone babies are not recommended for small children. While silicone is a very durable material, please don’t stretch/pull your baby’s arms/legs and fingers and toes as they may tear. Your baby can go anywhere with you. They can sleep in mommy’s bed or their bassinet. It is not recommended to store your baby in excessive direct sunlight, and its color may get faded.
Cleaning the Doll
Dust and dirt may accumulate on your baby doll. Excessive buildups of dust will start damaging the color and integrity of your reborn slowly. These babies can go right in a baby bathtub or the sink! You may also use a non-toxic soap, baby wash or gentle detergent to lather away stubborn dirt. Avoid excessive scrubbing it may produce scratches on baby’s body. Pat the body gently with a dry towel and put its clothes back once it’s clean. In general, treat your baby as if it were a real baby and it will be fine. If your silicone becomes “sticky” gently powder the baby all over with a big soft makeup brush and baby powder.
Baby Doll Hair Care
The hair of your doll is delicate, and it requires gentle care to maintain it. Keeping and maintaining the hair tangle-fee is quite a job for reborn parents. (some shedding may be expected as there is no way to glue hair into silicone, so be gentle.
Whether your baby has mohair or another type of doll hair; it requires proper brushing. You need a baby brush or a very soft bristle toothbrush for brushing baby’s hair. Avoid hard brushes because they can pull off their hair.
You can also wash the hair of your silicone baby, but with special care. Wash gently then blot dry. Your baby’s hair will stay wavy if you scrunch it, if you prefer straight gently brush till dry You can apply baby shampoo and leave-in conditioner to make their hair shiny and fresh.
Drink and Wet care
If you have a drink and wet system installed, be sure to flush out the tube if you feed the baby anything other than water. This will keep your baby germ free and healthy. If the tube moves forward as it may, simply push it back toward the baby’s throat.
Glo baby care
If your baby has glo paint , please remember that natural sunlight charges the glo paint the best.
DOLL CARE
Drink and wet care
Drink and wet babies are custom and need care and maintenance.
Place the bottle gently in their mouth. Once in the mouth gently push the bottle down to release liquid. Repeat. (try not to stretch the skin around the mouth as it could eventually affect the paint. Although your baby is painted in silicone paints and double sealed, eventually too much stretching could affect the paint)
If the tube works its way forward from the throat, gently push it back. Because silicone is such a flexible material, the tube may move slightly over time, this is normal, just place your finger in baby’s mouth and gently push it back into place.
If you choose to use formula in the bottle please remember to RINSE the tube with clear water afterward. Bacteria can and will build up in the tube if you don’t.
If you have a boy doll there should be a bead of silicone holding the tube to the penis. Try not to pull on the tube as it may come unglued.
Enjoy your drink and wet baby!!!
